As a sort-of addendum to the awkward Siskel and Ebert video I posted a couple of weeks ago, in which they’re really kind of nasty to each other, here’s a moving piece about Roger Ebert. I had no idea his cancer has led to an inability to eat, drink, or talk since 2006. This is very much worth reading, and there’s a nice little passage about Ebert’s love for Siskel.
back to the future being my Favorite Movie of All Time and all, i’ve thought about this stuff many-a-time. i remember seeing BTTF2 when i was 8 and thinking: “how old will i be in 2015?” (answer: 34) and, “i can’t wait for then, that’s gonna be amazing,” and “i wonder if we’ll actually have flying cars.” outlook not so good on the flying cars thing, but pretty sweet to see what else it got pretty right.
from the most amazing, disturbing article i’ve read in a little while. which would make for a pretty awesomely terrible horror movie.
